Gujarati Kadhi

Kadhi is very famous gujarati dish that goes very well with Khichdi or rice. It is made out of yogurt and besan flour. Check out the video for recipe. Enjoy 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup gram (besan) flour
  • 2 tblsp ghee (Butter)
  • 1 dry red chilly
  • 1/4 tblsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tblsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tblsp fenugreek seeds
  • pinch of asafoetida
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 5-6 green curry leaves
  • Salt & Sugar per taste
  • Coriander for garnish

Directions:

In a bowl, add 1 cup of yogurt and 1/3 besan (gram) flour. Mix it properly and add 2 cups of water. In a skillet, add 2 tblsp of ghee (butter), 1 dry red chilly, mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add methi (fenugreek seeds) and asafoetida. Add cut green chillies and green curry leaves. Add the mixture and let it cook for 15 minutes. Salt and sugar as per taste. Garnish it with Coriander.
