Dhokla is a very popular gujarati appetizer/snack. It is very tasty but it also takes some effort to cook it but here is a simple version of much complex gujarati appetizer. I make it using Sooji. It’s amazing how it takes only less than 5 ingredients to make the entire dish. Take a look at the video. Enjoy 🙂

  • 1/2 cup coarse Sooji
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tblsp ENO (fruit Salt)
  • Salt as per taste, Black pepper and coriander for Garnish

Check out the video below for recipe:

Mix 1/2 cup coarse sooji, 1/2 cup yogurt and 1/2 cup water and stir it well. Add Salt as per taste and ENO (fruit salt). Mix everything well. In a vessel boil some water and put a plate over the boiling water. Spread the batter on the plate. Sprinkle some crushed black pepper and fresh coriander. Cover the lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes. After 15 minutes, check by inserting knife and if nothing sticks to the knife that means it is cooked. Spread over some oil and cut it int square pieces. Dhokla is ready for Serve. Enjoy 🙂
