Corn Pulav

What would a meal be without a rice dish! This pulao is loaded with yummy sweet corn kernels. All you need is some corn and boiled rice. It is quick and easy. Follow the recipe in the video below. Serve it hot with Yogurt. Enjoy 🙂

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Boiled corns
  • 2 cup Cooked rice
  • 1 tblsp ginger paste
  • 1 tblsp crushed green chillies
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon
  • 5-6 cloves
  • 1 tblsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tblsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tblsp ghee (butter)
  • 1 dry Red chilly
  • 5-6 Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tblsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tblsp sugar
  • Salt as per your taste

Take 2 tblsp of ghee and 2 tblsp of oil in a small skillet on medium heat. To it add cumin seeds, clove, cinnamon and dry red chilly (optional). Mix the ginger and green chilly paste. Add a pinch of asafetida, turmeric powder and curry leaves, mix it well for a minute. To this add the corns, cooked rice, salt and sugar (as per your taste). Turn the heat down to low and let it cook for 10 minutes. Garnish it with some freshly chopped coriander and squeeze some lemon juice. Serve it hot with yoghurt.
