Bombay style “Pav Bhaji”

Pav Bhaji is one of the most popular North Indian dish and everyone loves it. It is the best fast food one could ever imagine. I make sure I eat it everyday when I go to India especially from the street vendors. Every time I think of this dish my mouth starts watering and since I can’t go to India that often I had to find out a way in order to overcome my craving. I figured out an easy way to make this delicious recipe at home and  I was quite successful at it. If you haven’t try this finger licking dish than you are missing out something luscious. It is YUM, spicy, buttery and delicious! Enjoy!!

Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium onion, chopped using food processor
  • 1 tomato, chopped using food processor
  • ½ shredded eggplant
  • 1 shredded green bell pepper
  • 3 Boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 2 tblsp lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 5 tblsp Rasoi Magic Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilly powder
  • 1 cup cashew halves
  • 1/4 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
  • Salt as per your taste

Directions:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. To it add the chopped onion, garlic paste and salt. Cook and stir until onions are golden brown. Add shredded eggplant, bell pepper and let it cook for 10 more mins.

Add red chilly powder and Rasoi Magic Pav Bhaji Masala and Tomato puree. Mix it well. Add the smashed boiled potatoes, lemon juice and 1 cup water for better consistency. Cover the lid and cook it for another 10 minutes. Add cashew halves and coriander. Finally mix it some sweet peas  and it is Ready to Serve. Garnish it with Butter and cilantro 🙂
